Currently El Arte del Crin is composed of over 50 artists from Rari, Maule Region, Chile, from where comes the wonderful horsehair crafts. El Arte del Crin works in marketing, promotion and dissemination of the Horsehair Crafts in the world.
The horsehair artisan women are true artists. They are the engine of El
Arte del Crin (The Art of Horsehair). They are hard-working women who
woven figures and accessories made with high quality and complexity, but
at the same time, their works evolve to achieve high standards in their
tissues, which are inserted into the most recognized international
markets.
The community of artists of The Art of Horsehair began to take shape slowly, first as a commercial project, however, is considered a human, artistic and social draft today.
The artist Alba Sepúlveda, with more than 50 years of experience in horsehair crafting, winner of the “Award of Excellence for Handicrafts Unesco Mercosur” and “Grand Masters of Latin American Folk Art” is the manager of this wonderful project.
El
Arte del Crin from development has considered applying the so-called
Fair Market, which over time has become an essential tool for the
enhancement of Horsehair Crafts in the village of Rari.
